 The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words
Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy", which flows through everything.
Ki is known as Chi in Chinese, Prana by the Hindus & Light by Christians.

Reiki is a form of Spiritual healing, it is a natural gentle energy & treatments are usually administered via the "laying of hands" however it may also be used distantly. It benefits the whole self, aids stress,promotes relaxation & self healing. It is Universal and may be used in conjunction with other healing modalities or techniques.This Invisible life force energy flows to and through us whether we believe or not.
Dr. Mikao Usui was the founder of the Usui Reiki System originating from Japan who along with the Reiki system devised ideals/principles to add to the spiritual balance whereby healing the spirit is necessary to improve oneself consciously. I believe this energy is already within all of us and it just needs a "shift" to flow freely. Being a Master is just a title, the use of this energy, the belief of such and "seeing and feeling" the beauty of this healing energy has in turn aroused more in depth "knowing" and "awakening" of my spiritual self development and healing abilities.

I have learned that all healing energy "systems" which are divinely guided come through Love
